Description

This print belongs to a series that Argentinian artist León Ferrari made while living in exile in Brazil after a military dictatorship took hold in his native country. He presented aspects of São Paulo’s layout from an aerial perspective—here, figures walk within areas of squares and stripes. Ferrari folded the prints and mailed them to friends throughout the world while separated from his homeland.
