Location: Hangaram Art Museum, Seoul, Korea

About The Exhibition

This exhibition brought together 94 of the museum's most acclaimed European paintings and sculptures: 56 paintings, 13 sculptures, and 25 works on paper from the late 19th and 20th centuries, featuring iconic works by Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Auguste Rodin. The exhibition set these artists within the broad context of the development of modern European art by organizing the works into the following groupings: The Impressionist Epoch; Post-Impressionism; Early Modernist Sculpture; and The Age of the Avant-Gardes.

This exhibition was organized by the Cleveland Museum of Art. The Cleveland Museum of Art receives operational support from the Ohio Arts Council.
