About The Exhibition

Produced during the past decade, the drawings, photographs, and prints in Drawn, Exposed & Impressed offered a brief survey of the outstanding contemporary works on paper that have significantly enhanced the museum's collection. Arranged in four thematic groupings, these 17 works by 14 artists exemplified a variety of individual stylistic approaches under the broad classifications of realism and abstraction. While some of the artists were well established and world renown, others were just emerging onto the art scene. Each of them brought a fresh vision and creative vitality to these traditional categorizations.

This exhibition was organized by the Cleveland Museum of Art. The Cleveland Museum of Art receives operational support from the Ohio Arts Council.
